Taxers of North Ossetia ordered to stop taxing education of Beslan children

The Federal Tax Service (FTS) for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (RNOA) has received an order not to collect taxes from the parents of the children who study free-of-charge at the "Korallovo" Lyceum situated near Moscow. This was reported by Mukharbek Besaev, acting head of the Republic's FTS Department.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that last week a bill on exempting terror act victims from taxes on the charitable aid they receive was brought to Russian State Duma. Therefore, on April 22, Mikhail Mokretsov, boss of Russia's FTS, made a decision to suspend requests on tax collection from the victims until the bill is considered.

Mr Besaev has treated the situation with collecting taxes from the parents of Beslan children-victims to be "distortion of facts with the aim of dirty political insinuations." "Somebody is just manipulating these people; and we hate mingling into this political aspect," he said on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio.

"A full stop has been put in this case, and quite a solid full stop, giving no room for any claims," the acting FTS head for the RNOA has added.
