Wife of mobilized soldier Abramov worries about absence of communication with him
Numerous requests to demobilize Alexei Abramov, a Krasnodar resident, for his health reasons remain unanswered. He is in the special military operation (SMO) zone and has not been in touch for a month, his wife has informed.
On December 7, 2023, Kseniya Abramova reported that her husband, who is seeking to cancel the mobilization decision due to his health problems, was unable to get a repeated referral to the medical commission. In July 2024, he was in the SMO zone in Ukraine, included into the assault squad, and his health worsened, his wife said.
Despite that fact that Alexei Abramov has to use crutches due to his spinal traumas, he was drafted into the army during mobilization; now, he has not been in touch for almost a month, his wife Kseniya told the "Caucasian Knot". According to her story, the last time she spoke to her husband was on December 26, 2024.
She has also noted that there was no response to her requests made in recent months to demobilize her husband from the army due to his illness.
Sergey Krivenko*, the director of the human rights group "Citizen. Army. Law"*, has emphasized that a sick person could have been sent to the army during mobilization, but to return him back one needs to pass through a complex procedure.
