Kesaeva asks to explain why Beslan children should pay for lyceum

Today, Ella Kesaeva, leader of the All-Russian Public Organization "Voice of Beslan", sent an application to the Beslan tax service asking to explain why the tragedy victims were ordered to pay 13 percent of the cost of their children's training in a lyceum near Moscow.

"We were presented sums accrued for several years of education with a demand to pay taxes on them without giving any grounds. We ask to explain why we should pay for children's education," said Ella Kesaeva.

According to her story, children should have been trained in state comprehensive school, and so the authorities "saved their funds" as children studied at a private lyceum.

In her application addressed to Igor Kozaev, head of the Beslan tax service Ella Kesaeva asks to inquire into the actions of tax officials and apologize to the terror act victims; otherwise they will appeal against the decision of the tax inspection at the court.

The deadline to pay taxes was March 17, and now the penalty is accrued.
