Ministry of Finance of North Ossetia to pay taxes for training Beslan children

President of North Ossetia Taimuraz Mamsurov has instructed the Republic's Ministry of Finance to allocate from the reserve fund some 1.3 million roubles to cover the tax for training and residence at the lyceum boarding school "Podmoskovny" of 30 children-victims of Beslan terror act.

"The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was instructed to allocate to the Ministry of Labour and Social Development from the President's and Government's reserve fund 1,288,300 roubles to pay the taxes of the educational establishment," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes the message of the press service of the leader of North Ossetia.

Earlier, Ella Kesaeva, leader of the public organization "Voice of Beslan", said that the parents of Beslan children were going to start hunger strike, should the tax service continue insisting on payment of tax on free-of-charge training of their children-victims of the terror act in the lyceum near Moscow, as the "Newsru.com" reports.

Back in December 2008, tax inspectors prescribed parents to pay 13% on the training cost for Beslan children at lyceum "Podmoskovny" in Korallovo, which was founded by Mikhail Khodorkovskiy and financed by YUKOS. Parents wanted to appeal against this demand, since initially the free-of-charge training of children in the lyceum was organized as a charitable action.
