Makhachkala residents consider helping Palestinians their duty

In Makhachkala, journalist Idris Yusupov has held a solo picket in support of residents of Palestine. The journalist notes the active reaction of city residents to his poster. Idris Yusupov states he will not stop his picket until the authorities of Dagestan respond to the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Idris Yusupov, a journalist of the “Novoye Delo” (New Clause) publication, has been holding solo pickets in Makhachkala since November 6 in support of the residents of Palestine.

Idris Yusupov emphasizes that the main goal of his picket remains the same, that is, to draw the attention of public institutions and the media to what is happening in Palestine.

The journalist has noted that a number of Dagestani charitable foundations sent humanitarian aid to Palestine. Idris Yusupov has also mentioned the statement voiced by Sergey Melikov, the leader of Dagestan, who has announced that if there is an instruction from the Russian president, the republic will be ready to accept up to 200 refugees from Palestine.

However, according to Idris Yusupov’s report, there is still no reaction from the public and civil institutions of the republic to the situation in Palestine.

Local residents believe that an ordinary resident of Dagestan can help the Palestinians by refusing to buy goods from Israel and allied countries, as well as by raising humanitarian aid and providing shelter for the Palestinians.

Another important point is to attract attention to the problem and provide information coverage of events in Palestine, suggests Sultan, a resident of Makhachkala.
