Chechen resident apologizes for riding children rides in truck back
A video has been posted of an apology from a driver from the Gudermes District, who drove children in the truck back. Instagram* users treat the forced apology as excessive.
Chechen law enforcers are regularly publicly reprimanding locals for various offences, including traffic violations. Thus, on February 19, the police posted a video of an apology from a participant in a road accident.
The new video with the driver's apology was posted on the Instagram* in the "ChP Grozny" public.
"A prophylactic talk was held with the driver involved in the offense," the message says.
A reader of the "Caucasian Knot" has drawn attention to the video with the driver's apology.
"The young man decided to give a drive to a large group of boys who were in the truck back clinging to the sides as it drove, for which he was punished," he wrote.
"I drove out to entertain kids a little. I did it wrong. Please forgive me. I would like to tell others – don't do this, it turns out to be very dangerous," the driver said in the video.
Some commentators have treated the apology as excessive.
"Why to apologize? We all went through this as children," wrote the user khadiya_1978.
"My father always took us for rides with the neighbours' kids, what's wrong with that? Yes, I understand that one has to be careful, but he was," said the user sago_voin_19.
