Karabulak residents demand to repair house after CTO

Residents of a house in the city of Karabulak, damaged during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), have reported serious damage to the building and demanded that repairs begin as soon as possible; it follows from their video appeal addressed to authorities.

On March 5, the commission began assessing the damage extent in the high-rise building that was damaged during the CTO conducted in Karabulak. After the CTO, part of the house was left without gas, water and electricity, a local resident has explained.

According to preliminary estimates, 16 apartments were damaged in the above building located in Oskanova Street in Karabulak. The head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, has stated that all the apartment owners will be provided with help in restoring their homes; they will be also reimbursed for their lost property, says a report by the "Magas" TV Company.

The tenants of the damaged house have expressed dissatisfaction that five days after the CTO, repairs to the house had not begun; it follows from the video message posted by the "Fortanga" outlet. During the CTO, the house was shaking badly, and tenants fear that the building might collapse as a result.

"In one day, everything that had been acquired for over 40 years had burned down," a man said in the above video appeal. The victims demand that they be compensated for the suffered damage and paid compensation, the outlet has reported in its Telegram channel.
