Resident of Chechnya publicly apologizes for his post in social network
A state TV channel has released a report containing an apology from a resident of the Urus-Martan District for posting a video about a local hospital.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the “Grozny” TV Channel is regularly releasing reports about residents of Chechnya who ask to forgive them for their misdeeds and criticism of the authorities. In a June 2015 report prepared by the international crisis group "Chechnya: Inner Abroad", it was noted that such apologies are the result of pressure and threats.
In its page in the “VKontakte” social network, the above TV channel wrote that the video made by Shamkhan Talarov posted in the social networks "turned out to be fake." The video said that an ambulance could not enter the hospital because the gates were closed.
"As they explained at the Urus-Martan Central District Hospital, the video record showed not the main entrance gate ... but a backup service one, which is closed at night according to regulations. The main gate is located on the other side of the building and works around the clock. The author of the video has admitted that his actions were ill-considered and apologized to the hospital staff for his false accusations," the report said.
