Dagestan organizes retraining of healthcare workers from Palestine

The Ministry for Public Health and the Medical University of Dagestan organized retraining courses for refugees from Palestine who decided to work for the republic’s healthcare system. The “Insan” charitable foundation has announced its willingness to pay for the above retraining.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 1, the government of Dagestan reported that the “Insan” and “Nadezhda” charitable foundations raised 35 million roubles to help displaced people from Palestine. Earlier, the republic’s authorities allocated an additional amount of 15 million roubles for refugee accommodation. The temporary accommodation centre (TAC) near Makhachkala accommodates 157 people, including 82 children, who arrived from the Gaza Strip.

There are many healthcare workers among the Palestinians who arrived in Dagestan, and many of them want to continue their professional activities in the republic, the “Insan” charitable foundation reports in its Telegram channel. The charitable foundation has announced that it would cover the cost of educational services for refugees.
