On December 25-31, three people wounded in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from December 25 to December 31, 2023, three persons were wounded during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus – an alleged militant and two civilians. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

On December 25, in the Sunzha District, policemen detained two people after a shootout. In Karabulak, a Lada car was shelled from a Mercedes car, the former driver received an arm wound. The police tried to stop the Mercedes, but the driver continued driving and fired several shots at the car, which soon collided with another car and stopped.

"The driver and the wounded passenger tried to escape, but were detained. A man who was not far from the checkpoint was also wounded in the leg," the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported. A traumatic pistol converted into a combat one, knives and ammunition for small arms were found in the above Mercedes car.

  • Two natives of Northern Caucasus injured in shootout near “Wildberries” office in Moscow

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report. Among the victims have been Abubakar Mestoev and Umar Chichaev, mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from Northern Caucasus, reports Shamil Khadulaev, the chair of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of Dagestan.
