  • "Ingushetia.Ru" intends to ignore the court ruling on closing the website

    The Moscow City Court has upheld the ruling of the Kuntsevo District Court on illegality of the activities of the website "Ingushetia.Ru". Rosa Malsagova, editor-in-chief of the website, who is now in Paris, where she applied for political shelter to French authorities, has stated that the "Ingushetia.Ru" website will go on despite the court ruling.

  • Split of Ukrainian society on conflict in South Ossetia

    The first group of volunteers from Ukraine has arrived to South Ossetia for rendering assistance to the republic, which has suffered from warfare. Representatives of the Crimea, Lugansk, Odessa, Sevastopol and Kiev will help to clear the ruins and restore dwelling houses in Tskhinvali. Another group - consisting of Ukrainian nationalists - is going to war in region on Georgia's side.

  • 120 families of forced migrants disconnected from electricity and gas in Chechnya

    Inhabitants of one of the hostels for those in need of improving their housing conditions, which were earlier named "temporary accommodation centres (TACs) of forced migrants", located in Gudermes (Chechnya), complain that on August 5 the building, where over 400 persons lived, mostly women and children, was cut off from gas and electricity supplies.
