Law enforcer detained in case on Dalgatov’s death, sources report

One more law enforcer has been detained in a criminal case on the death of Kurban Dalgatov at the Makhachkala police department, sources report.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 22, investigators announced that 13 people were involved as defendants in the criminal case on Kurban Dalgatov’s death. On March 11, the Dagestani weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft) reported with reference to its sources that Arsen Abdulkadirov, the former deputy head of the criminal investigation department of the Sovietsky District Police Department of Makhachkala, was also detained as a suspect.

On January 20, 2023, Kurban Dalgatov died after he was taken to the Makhachkala police department. Relatives claimed that the man died of asphyxiation after he “got electric shocks to the heart area.”

According to the preliminary information, field investigator Gugaev was detained in the case on the Kurban Dalgatov’s death, the newspaper “Chernovik” reported with reference to its sources.

Let us remind you that on January 15, the Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala placed under house arrest two policemen – Muslim Kerimov and Magomedshapi Magomedshapiev – detained in the case on the Kurban Dalgatov’s death. The court has taken into account that one of the detained policemen has dependent parents with disabilities and that the other took part in the special military operation (SMO).

On the other day, the court placed another policeman of the Sovetsky District Police Department under house arrest.
