Another policeman suspected of involvement in Dalgatov's death

A court in Makhachkala has placed a policeman suspected in the death of the detainee, Kurban Dalgatov, under house arrest. He became the third law enforcer arrested in January in connection within this case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, it became known that two other policemen were detained within the case of Dalgatov's death; and the total number of suspects has reached nine. On January 15, the Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala placed the detainees under house arrest.

The court took into account that one of the law enforcers had dependent disabled parents; and the other took part in combat actions. Another employee of the Makhachkala police division has been placed under house arrest, the "Only Facts" Telegram channel has reported.

Let us remind you that Kurban Dalgatov died on January 20, 2023, after he was taken to the police division. His relatives stated that he died of asphyxiation after "electric shocks to the heart area."

According to the police, prior to the arrest of the 35-year-old Dalgatov, a conflict occurred in the street between two men, one of them shot at his opponent and escaped with Dalgatov's help, who was soon detained. During the investigation at the police division, his health worsened; he was given first aid and taken to the hospital, where he died.
