Putin emphasizes role of Chechen fighters in Ukraine

In his congratulations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Chechnya, the President of Russia focused his attention on the actions of Chechen fighters in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin has also pointed out that the tasks are being solved in Chechnya to improve the socio-economic situation and improve the quality of life.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov commented on his statement that he “stayed too long” as the leader of Chechnya and said that he would not leave his post without asking the opinion of the people and the President of Russia. Meanwhile, Ramzan Kadyrov has pointed out that “several thousand more determined volunteers and elite fighters” are preparing to be sent to Ukraine.

“Today, in the course of the special military operation, Chechen heroes are showing their valour and exceptional courage in defending Russia,” reads Vladimir Putin’s congratulations posted on the “Kremlin.ru” website.

Let us remind you that on July 28, Ramzan Kadyrov said that Chechen fighters are ready to assault “any settlement under the Vladimir Putin’s first order.” The leader of Chechnya called the information about the coercion of the residents of Chechnya to participate in the special military operation a gossip. At the same time, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened with hell those who would admit the idea of refusing to go to Ukraine.

It should also be noted that by the presidential decree; Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky “for his great contribution to the socio-economic development of Chechnya.” The socio-economic development of Chechnya, which receives multibillion-rouble subsidies, does not look like a serious reason for awarding Ramzan Kadyrov with an order, political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin points out. Caucasian expert Ruslan Kutaev suggests that with the award, the Kremlin encouraged Ramzan Kadyrov for his support of the special military operation in Ukraine.
