Kadyrov reports about eight policemen perished in Ukraine

Relatives of eight Chechen policemen perished in Ukraine have been handed over the Orders of Courage, Ramzan Kadyrov reports.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports about dispatching of detachments of volunteers from Chechnya to Ukraine, including residents of other regions of the country.

Grozny hosted the ceremony of awarding participants of the special military operation in Ukraine with state awards. Orders “For Merit to the Fatherland” II degree were awarded to three policemen, four received medals “For Courage”, and other three – “For Distinction in the Protection of Public Order”, reported Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya.

During the ceremony, the Orders of Courage were handed over to relatives of the deceased policemen. “In accordance with the Decree of the President of Russia, eight Chechen policemen were awarded the Order of Courage posthumously,” the leader of Chechnya wrote on his Telegram channel late in the evening on June 22.

During the award ceremony, Sergey Bachurin, the head of the Chief Directorate for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Russia, has announced that more than 1000 employees of the Chechen MIA are taking part in the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. “Unfortunately, there were casualties, 15 of our employees perished,” said Sergey Bachurin as quoted in a story posted in Instagram* page of the the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company).

*On March 21, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
