South-Ossetia GPO treats Georgia's block-post as border violation

In connection with the deployment of a Georgian block-post in the vicinity of the village of Tsnelis, a criminal case has been opened on the border trespassing, Uruzmag Djagaev, the head of the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of South Ossetia, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the South-Ossetian Parliament announced the deployment of the above block-post by Georgian militaries as an "act of aggression." Border outfits were stationed in the vicinity of the village of Tsnelis. In its turn, the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia stated that the new block-post is located near the village of Chorchana, in the territory covered by the jurisdiction of Georgia.

According to Mr Djagaev, "there was no reason" for building the block-post, since "the nearest dwelling settlement is three kilometres away; and no one is threatening the residents thereof," the TASS reports.

Murat Djioev, the South-Ossetian Presidential Envoy for Post-Conflict Settlement, said that within the investigation of the criminal case, the South-Ossetian GPO used a quadcopter, which was shot down by the Georgian party.

The State Security Committee (known as the KGB) of South Ossetia wrote in its Facebook page that the fact of existence of the quadcopter was "confirmed by numerous testimonies of local residents."
