Activist Magomed Nalgiev detained in Ingushetia
In Nazran, law enforcers have detained Magomed Nalgiev, a participant in March protests, sources inform.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that mass detentions of activists in Ingushetia began on April 2. In the first nine days alone, 40 people were detained.
On March 26, a rally was held in Magas with a demand of resignation of the head of Ingushetia. An attempt to disperse the protesters on March 27 ended in clashes with policemen. According to police, 10 law enforcers were injured.
The "MBKh Media" reported Nalgiev's arrest on April 29 with reference to the lawyer Magomed Bekov.
According to the "OVD-Info", on the eve, the activist was fined for participating in the rally. An advocate was not let to Nalgiev; and his relatives could not contact him.
After his arrest and search of his house, Nalgiev was accused of using violence against a law enforcer; he is under a threat of up to 10 years in prison.
