In Khasavyurt, relatives of woman who died in hospital come to rally (+video)

This morning, in Khasavyurt, relatives of a local woman, who died on January 29 after deliveries in hospital, have come to the building of the perinatal centre. People have claimed that the woman's death was caused by doctors' fault and demanded a meeting with the head physician of the clinic.

The protest action involves at least 100 people, reports Yuldus Mutsalkhanova, a doctor of the perinatal centre in Khasavyurt.

According to her, one of the stones thrown by the protesters hit a window of the perinatal resuscitation ward.

The doctor has noted that the police approached the perinatal centre, but till present, the policemen do not interfere in the situation.

At present, according to Yuldus Mutsalkhanova, the perinatal centre is closed, and the doctors cannot accept women incoming for giving birth, since "all the entrances and exits are blocked," and the protesters do not let vehicles to enter the territory of the perinatal centre.

The protesters claim that the case of the mother of many children, who died at the perinatal centre on January 29, was not unique.
