CTO regime cancelled in Elborus District of Kabardino-Balkaria
Today, from 6 a.m. on, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was lifted in the Elborus District of Kabardino-Balkaria. This was reported by the press service of the CTO Operative Headquarters.
"In the course of the CTO regime, law enforcement bodies made checks of the passport system, surveyed inhabited premises and cellars, garages and deserted constructions. A significant amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives was withdrawn, which enabled preventing several large terror acts. Helicopters were used to survey the mountain-woody areas, where potential bandits could hide," said a spokesman of the CTO Operative Headquarters.
The Headquarters' command in Kabardino-Balkaria gave a positive estimate to the actions of the forces and means engaged in the CTO, and to the level of interaction among all the subjects of antiterrorist activity.
