Investigation of the attempt on Ingushetia's Interior Minister entrusted to SFD inspectors
The attempt on the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia will be investigated by the Chief Investigatory Department for the South Federal District (SFD); this assignment was made by Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia.
We remind you that today in the morning, at about 8:30 a.m. Moscow time, in Nazran, a car stuffed with explosive blew up near the route of the cortege of Musa Medov, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia. The driver of the car was killed by the explosion. The Minister and his retinue did not suffer, but four persons who happened to be near the explosion were wounded.
The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that the power of the explosive that was blown up when the Minister's car was passing by made 30 kilos of trotyl equivalent.
In the place of the incident, sappers found another bomb with the power of about 40 kg of trotyl equivalent, which did not blow up for unknown reasons; this fact saved Mr Medov's life.
