Father of teenager killed in Chechnya kidnapped in Moscow
The father of the teenager killed in an attack on a road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) checkpoint in Achkhoi-Martan has been taken by law enforcers to Chechnya from Moscow and beaten, sources report.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 7, it became known that an unidentified person with a knife attacked police inspectors at a road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) checkpoint in Achkhoi-Martan. One of the law enforcers was killed. The teenager who attacked the DPS checkpoint was killed at the scene of the incident. The Chechen authorities demanded the presence of teachers and high-school children at a rally over the body of the minor attacker killed in Achkhoi-Martan. The motive for the attack was a personal conflict between the young man and a law enforcer, although Ramzan Kadyrov called an organizer of the attack “a citizen of Ukraine.”
Eldar Khumashev, a 45-year-old native of Achkhoi-Martan and the father of the killed teenager, has been taken from Moscow to Chechnya by law enforcers and brutally beaten, a Chechen opposition Telegram channel reports. According to the source’s information, some of the killed young man’s relatives – his paternal uncles – have also been kidnapped from Moscow.
After the kidnapping and beating, Eldar Khumashev stays in severe condition: the man has got his ribs and limbs broken, an activist from the Chechen “Vayfond” human rights organization reports.
