The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Volgodonsk (Rostov Region) has studied and recognized lawful the initiation of Criminal Case No. 2008717504 of September 5, 2008, on the fact of trafficking in people committed in relation to two and more persons with confiscation of IDs of the victims. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told about it by 1st Class Lawyer Roman Fedorov, Deputy Public Prosecutor of Volgodonsk.

According to Mr Fedorov, it has been established that two citizens T. and A., when being in Moscow, late in June 2008 struck a bargain with an unidentified man and bought from him for 21,000 roubles four citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan as labour force. These Uzbek citizens had no registration in the territory of Russian Federation.

On that same day, under a pretext of employment, these four persons were transported from Moscow to the territory of the Volgodonsk District, Rostov Region, and placed to the territory of the agrarian farm belonging to T. Passports of citizens of Uzbekistan were taken away from them, and the guys found themselves in complete dependence.

For almost two months - till August 28, 2008, the Uzbeks remained in the territory of the farm and carried out, under directions of T. and A. heavy jobs without any payment for their labour.
