Up to now, no electricity and heat at hospitals and kindergartens of the capital of Dagestan

Despite the assurances of the officials about restoration of electricity and heat supplies in Makhachkala, many hospitals and kindergartens of the capital of Dagestan continue to survive without heating.

Thus, today, at kindergarten No. 68 of Makhachkala the thermometer reading was only plus 8 degrees Centigrade.

There is no heat and electricity at some Makhachkala hospitals. "We cannot make surgeries," Magomed Omarov, chief physician of the Republic's Orthopaedic and Traumatological Centre, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "How can we put a patient on a metal table in such cold? It is a real disaster, I don't know who will be made responsible."

Meanwhile, the "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier, with reference to the Southern Regional Centre of the Ministry for Emergencies of Russia, that no-break electricity supply was restored in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. "The electric power supply to dwelling houses, which had been cut off because of overloads at low air temperatures, is now completely restored," the spokesman of the press service told the IA "Interfax".
