Moscow Region resident detained for desecrating Kadyrov monument

A criminal case has been instituted against a resident of Sergiev Posad for desecrating a monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Yuzhnoye Butovo.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on the night of November 13, unidentified persons painted an offensive inscription on the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Moscow.

According to the sources’ information, 23-year-old Natalia A. left several inscriptions on the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov. In the morning, the inscriptions were erased by utility workers. On November 14, the law enforcement bodies instituted a criminal case on vandalism, and Natalia, a suspect, signed a written recognizance not to live the city, the “Baza” Telegram channel reported.

Let us remind you that this is not the first incident with the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Moscow. On October 11, 2023, it became known that a pig’s head was thrown to the monument. After the incident, Moscow resident Dmitry Kudryashov was detained. His father reported that Dmitry and his girlfriend laid a pig’s head at the monument, but their action was not religious in nature, but “was more political.”

A pig is an animal forbidden in Islam, and the incident can be regarded as an anti-Muslim action. An action of throwing parts of a dead animal is offensive in itself, analysts note.

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer. The amount is ridiculous and should be appealed against, lawyers and human rights defenders have stated.
