Detention of student at Vladikavkaz polling station is known

In Vladikavkaz, law enforcers detained a female student at a polling station on the last voting day at presidential election after she cast a ballot with a pacifist phrase into a ballot box.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 15, in the city of Mozdok (North Ossetia-Alania), a young woman doused voter list with iodine. The incident did not affect the voting process, and only a corner of the list was damaged, the election commission reported. The woman had wanted to damage ballots, but ended up ruining the voter list and was detained.

In Vladikavkaz, Amina, 19, a student, was detained after damaging her ballot, the "Astra" outlet reports. The incident occurred on the last day of voting, on March 17. The girl wrote a pacifist phrase in the ballot, after which she dropped it into the ballot box, but was detained.

"There, Amina then wrote a complaint that a policeman dragged her by the hand out of the booth, causing her pain. They are checking both the student and the policeman," the above outlet says.
