Security measures have been strengthened at Magas Airport

Security forces have strengthened security measures at Magas airport amid information spreading on social networks about the arrival of a flight from Israel, reports the administration of Sunzha.

A meeting of the anti-terrorism commission was held at the airport, during which Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Ingushetia Vasily Kuvaldin noted that this information is not true and Magas Airport is not international, according to the information published on the City Hall’s Telegram channel. “The information input on social media is going according to the scenario observed in Dagestan,” Kuvaldin noted in the video attached to the publication.

As follows from the information on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, police Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Kuvaldin heads the department for organizing the protection of public order and interaction with executive authorities and local governments in the ministry.

The events at the Makhachkala airport and anti-Semitic actions in Khasavyurt, Cherkessk, and Nalchik are atypical both for the North Caucasus and for Russia as a whole; they threaten interreligious and interethnic harmony in the country, the Russian Jewish Congress stated on October 29.
