Volgograd artist Philippenzo wanted

The police put on the wanted list Philip Kozlov (Philippenzo), an artist from Volgograd, who left Russia after searches in his apartment and studio.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 1, law enforcers conducted searches in the apartment and studio of Philip Kozlov and obliged him to appear for questioning. After that he left Russia. On October 13, the artist reported that he moved to Vilnius due to the threat of imprisonment.

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) put Philip Kozlov on the wanted list, the “Mediazona”* reported with reference to the information in the police search database. Earlier, a criminal case was instituted against the Volgograd artist for vandalism motivated by political hatred.

Let us remind you that on September 1, the “Polygon” publication reported that, according to the preliminary information, Philip Kozlov is charged with vandalism motivated by political hatred because of his recent street art work, a graphic inscription about Russia under a bridge in Moscow for Russia Day made on June 12. After that, the police came to his apartment, and Philip Kozlov decided to temporarily leave the country and went to Georgia.

*On September 29, 2021, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the LLC “ZP” (the legal entity that had established the “Mediazona”) into the list of media outlets-foreign agents.
