Kadyrov boasts of his mother's award

The President of Russia has decorated Aimani Kadyrova with the Order of Honour for her active social work, the head of Chechnya has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September 2022, Ramzan Kadyrov awarded the medal "100 Years of the Foundation of the Chechen Republic" to his mother and three daughters, as well as other relatives and officials holding high positions in the republic. On December 30, 2021, Akhmat Kadyrov (posthumously), Ramzan Kadyrov and the mother of the head of Chechnya were declared Honoured Human Rights Defenders of Chechnya. In March 2018, Kadyrov's mother and wife received the Order of Honour of the Fatherland, established by the Chechen Parliament just a week before the awarding.

"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has awarded my dear mother, President of the Regional Public Fund named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov Aimani Nesievna, with the Order of Honour," the head of Chechnya has written in his Telegram channel.

Kadyrov has stated that since the start of the special military operation (SMO), the above Kadyrov Fund has delivered 23,000 tons of "only foodstuffs" to the SMO zone.

The Kadyrov Fund was established in 2004; and since its foundation, its president is Aimani Kadyrova, the widow of Akhmat Kadyrov; and their son Ramzan Kadyrov has been the chairman of the board of trustees. All the budget-funded employees in Chechnya must donate about 10% of their incomes to the Charity Fund on a monthly basis.

In September 2021, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, announced a contest "for the best artistic image" of Akhmat Kadyrov, Ramzan Kadyrov and Aimani Kadyrova, promising to pay 500,000 roubles to the winners in each of the nominations. This money could have been used to help the needy in Northern Caucasus, and not to strengthen the Kadyrovs' cult, some Internet users then complained.

In August 2020, Grozny authorities timed to Aimani Kadyrova's birthday a contest among schoolchildren for the best video dedicated to her. Residents of Chechnya treated the contest as an attempt to plant a cult of the Kadyrov family.
