Kadyrov hands out awards to relatives and friends on occasion of centenary of Chechnya

The medal “100 years of the founding of the Chechen Republic” was awarded to the mother and three daughters of Ramzan Kadyrov, as well as his other relatives and officials holding top positions in the republic, follows from the decree issued by the leader of Chechnya.

Today, the website of the leader of Chechnya has posted the decree on awarding 67 people with the medal “100 years of the founding of the Chechen Republic”. The medal is awarded for “a significant contribution to the development of the Chechen Republic, impeccable conscientious work, and high professionalism,” follows from the text of the decree signed by Ramzan Kadyrov on September 1.

Among the recipients of the award are Aimani Kadyrova, the president of the Regional Public Foundation named after Akhmat Kadyrov and the mother of Ramzan Kadyrov, daughters of Ramzan Kadyrov: Minister of Culture Aishat Kadyrova, Deputy Chief of the Secretariat of the Head of Chechnya Khedi Kadyrova, and Chief of the Department of Preschool Education of the Grozny City Mayoralty Karina Kadyrova. The awards were also handed over to other officials related to Ramzan Kadyrov by family ties, including Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma member, Idris Cherkhigov, the chief of the GIBDD (road police) Department for Chechnya of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Yakub (Ibragim) Zakriev, Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya – Minister of Agriculture, Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, Mayor of Grozny, Khamid Kadyrov, a member of the advisory council under the leader of Chechnya, and Khamzat Kadyrov, General Director of the Joint Stock Company (JSC) “Chechencement”.

Medals were also awarded to Magomed Daudov, the chair of the Chechen parliament, Akhmed Dudaev, Ministry of Press of Chechnya, and a number of other officials, follows from the decree signed by the leader of Chechnya.

Almost the entire ruling system in Chechnya is tied personally to Ramzan Kadyrov and people close to him. According to the BBC Russian Service, out of 158 high-ranking officials in Chechnya, 30% are Kadyrov's relatives, 23% are his fellow villagers, and other 12% are his friends and their relatives.
