Kadyrov gives his nephew's posts to his son-in-law

Viskhan Matsuev has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Chechnya. Earlier, these posts were held by Yakub Zakriev, who had headed the "Danone Russia" Company.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2019, Ramzan Kadyrov's 22-year-old son-in-law, Viskhan Matsuev, was appointed the head of the Migration Department of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Matsuev was appointed to the position because of his work experience, and not because of his relationship with the head of Chechnya, said Akhmed Dudaev, the then head of the "Grozny" ChGTRC (Chechen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company) (since June 2020, Dudaev is the head of the Chechen Ministry of Press). Matsuev is too young for his experience to be sufficient for leading a MIA's department, some social media users have considered.

Kadyrov has reported on Viskhan Matsuev's new appointment in his Telegram channel. The post of head of the Ministry of Property and Land Relations was taken by Magomed Bukhadiev, who served as the head of the Naursky District of Chechnya, Kadyrov has added.

According to his story, he has approved these candidates, because "these are absolutely not new people in the team; they have proven themselves from an exceptionally positive side."

Prior to Matsuev, the post of the Vice-Premier and the Minister of Agriculture was held by Yakub Zakriev, another Kadyrov's nephew. On July 18, after President Vladimir Putin transferred the share of the "Danone Russia", owned by a foreign company, to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency, the company was headed by Zakriev.
