ICRF reports on check after three sisters' death in KBR

Investigators are considering several versions of the death of three sisters in the Chegem District, including suicide and an accident. The women died after a conflict with their relatives, sources report.

The branch for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) is conducting an investigation in connection with the death of the Akhaev sisters, whose bodies were found in a burning car that fell off a cliff, the "Kommersant" reports.

Alim, a brother of the dead women, has voiced the version of his sisters' suicide. According to his version, on the day of the deaths of Albina, Amina and Arina Akhaev, he spoke with one of them on the phone, and she said that they "would follow their older sister," who committed suicide a few days before the sisters' death.

According to unofficial sources, relatives have blamed the sisters born in 1975, 1980 and 1981 for the death of their older sister, which could have caused her suicide. Prior to this, the sisters lived as one family; none of them had their own family and children.
