Police detain female picketer in Makhachkala
The police brought to a police station a deceived real estate investor who sought a meeting with the leader of Dagestan.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in Makhachkala, a local woman held a picket in front of the government building demanding that the authorities help deceived real estate investors, whose problem with the construction of an apartment building has not been resolved for more than five years.
Earlier, 75-year-old Gulgez Gadjieva held a picket on May 25 and asked for a meeting with Sergei Melikov, the leader of Dagestan. The deceived real estate investor claimed that she spoke on behalf of 96 families of real estate investors.
Today, the young female picketer has also demanded a meeting with Sergei Melikov, the human rights project “OVD-Info”* reports.
In Dagestan, deceived real estate investors regularly complain about the indifference of the republic’s authorities. On January 27, a video appeal to Sergei Melikov was published, in which real estate investors from Derbent stated that their apartment building was supposed to be completed in 2016, but it has not yet been finished, and the authorities are not solving the problem.
