Mobilized person convicted in Kuban for leaving the unit
The Krasnodar Garrison Military Court has sentenced Sergey Lyakh to 3.5 years in prison and stripped him of his military rank for two cases of leaving his unit during the mobilization period.
Sergey Lyakh was mobilized on October 20, 2022, and a month later he left his place of service for the first time. On December 1, 2022, he was detained by serviceman of the military commandant's office.
For the period of the inquiry into the case, Lyakh was attached to a military unit stationed in Krasnodar, which he again arbitrarily left on December 29, 2022, and went home. On January 7, 2023, he returned to the unit, the "Kommersant" has reported with reference to the main military investigating department.
According to the "Interfax-South", the court sentenced Lyakh to 3.5 years in prison and stripped him of the rank of junior sergeant.
