Azerbaijani law enforcers count weapons collected in Nagorno-Karabakh

In 2021, eight air defence systems, 64 guided missile complexes, 10 mortar launchers, more than a hundred grenade launchers and other weapons were found in the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, which came under Azerbaijan's control as a result of the last autumn war.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 12, the Azerbaijani demining agency reported that after the autumn war, sappers had cleared about 20,000 hectares of land in Nagorno-Karabakh; most of all mines were found in Fizuli, Agdam and Terter Districts.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in 2021, in the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, which came under Azerbaijan's control as a result of the autumn war, policemen found 225 submachine guns, 102 grenade launchers, 68 machine guns, 64 anti-tank and anti-personnel guided missile complexes, eight air defence systems, 10 mortar installations, more than 729 grenades and about 130 mines, the "Trend" News Agency wrote on January 3.

Besides, according to the MIA, tens of thousands of shells and cartridges of various calibres were found, the "Interfax-Azerbaijan" has added.
