Blood feud threat discussed at Chechen-Ingush meeting after shooting at Wildberries

At a meeting regarding the shooting in Moscow near the Wildberries office, Chechen officials have expressed dissatisfaction with the claims of the Ingush party in connection with the death of two security guards, recalling two murders of Chechens, after which there were no revenge calls against residents of the neighbouring republic. The Ingush party did not deny these cases and promised not to admit such incidents in the future.

At the meeting of the Ingush and Chechen delegations, Adam Delimkhanov, a Russian State Duma MP from Chechnya, has placed responsibility for the incident near the Wildberries office on Bekkhan Barakhoev, his State Duma colleague from Ingushetia. Delimkhanov said that the people from Chechnya were forced to return fire during the conflict after they started shooting at them; he threatened Barakhoev with consequences.

Delimkhanov has stated that the shooters have close friendly and family ties, as well as business relations with Chechen authorities, including Ramzan Kadyrov, the Telegram channel "Beware, News" has reported.

In his turn, Salakh Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, has stated that there had been murders of Chechens in Ingushetia due to ethnic hatred that had occurred before.

A video clip was spread in social networks showing Adam Almazov, a native of Ingushetia, who was wounded near the Wildberries office. The video has provoked a dispute about who started shooting first. Users have suggested that casualties' relatives may resort to blood feud if witnesses to the incident indicate that the fire was aimed at unarmed people.

Mufti Mezhiev has recalled the story of an Ingush man who killed a Chechen in the special military operation (SMO) zone, stressing that although this murder was intentional, the reconciliation was achieved within a month, tery, a reader of the "Caucasian Knot", has emphasized in his comment.

It is noted that the Chechen and Ingush delegates were mostly talking about how important it is to educate young people to respect and not to behave aggressively, touching on the topics of the nations' common religion and unity.

Let us remind you that Musa Albogachiev, a member of the Ingush party, said during the meeting that as a result of the conflict near the Wildberries office, two Ingush natives were shot dead, and that someone should be held accountable for their deaths.

Let us note here that Ramzan Kadyrov and his associates have repeatedly resorted to threats related to blood feud against residents of Ingushetia, including in 2022 amid the protests in Ingushetia due to the border agreement of the republics.
