Mother of killed prisoner criticizes administration of penal colony in Vladikavkaz

The murder of prisoner Albert Yuldashev became possible because of gross violations of the regime in the Vladikavkaz penal colony, his mother claims. The woman believes that her son was taken to hospital too late after being stabbed.

According to the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) for North Ossetia-Alania, a quarrel between inmates of the penal colony took place on October 10. The prisoner who fatally injured another convict reported himself the incident to the administration of the penal colony.

Albert Yuldashev died in a medical centre in Beslan, his mother Angela Yuldasheva reported. The woman noted that she learned about the death of her son from an anonymous phone call.

The mother of the convict insists that she has not yet received any official information about the death of her son.

Angela Yuldasheva believes that medical assistance was provided to her son out of time. “The attack took place at 3:15 a.m. An ambulance left the penal colony at 4:30 a.m. That is, for an hour and a half my child was laying and bleeding to death. The chief of the prison did not sign the act so that my injured son could be taken out. The ambulance left at 4:30 a.m. and at 5:10 a.m. reached the Beslan hospital. Doctors failed to save my son because of the great blood loss,” the prisoner’s mother said.

The woman noted that on October 15, she sent an appeal to President Vladimir Putin. However, she has not received any answer yet.
