Brother of blogger Khalitov condemns him and supports Kadyrov

A brother of blogger Khasan Khalitov, living in Turkey, used harsh words to condemn him for criticizing the authorities of Chechnya.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 13, Chechen blogger Khasan Khalitov, living in Turkey, said that Ramzan Kadyrov’s associates who had visited Turkey together with the leader of Chechnya had not responded to attempts to contact them. Today, Khasan Khalitov has posted a video appeal to Akhmed Dudaev, in which he reported his whereabouts and offered to meet in Turkey.

On the night of October 15, a video message of Ramzan Khalitov to his brother Khasan was posted, in particular, on the Instagram page of Akhmed Dudaev, Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information of Chechnya. “Here is the harsh message of Khalitov Ramzan to his brother,” the short annotation to the video explains.

“Recently, he uploaded a video where he was defaming our president (the leader of the republic, – note of the ‘Caucasian Knot). He will not dishonour our respectable leader with those words ... Khasan, you are a complete drug addict. When you were here, you could not stop drinking alcohol, and I had to restrain you. You took pills, you smoked cannabis, and you walked with other men’s women when you were at home. What good can you tell?” says Ramzan Khalitov on the video message as translated from the Chechen language by the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Ramzan Khalitov reproached his brother for trying to “become famous” and explained that the video message had been sanctioned by the Chechen authorities.
