Kuban villager complains about beating after detention

Law enforcers have beaten up Alexei Dinisenko, a 19-year-old resident of the village of Tbilisskaya, forcing to confess to a theft, the young man himself has stated. Doctors diagnosed Dinisenko's craniocerebral trauma and bruises, the "Committee against Torture" (CaT) stated on October 13.

Alexei Dinisenko, 19, a winner of the Krasnodar Territory (also known as Kuban by the name of the main river) Powerlifting Cup, who lives in the village of Tbilisskaya, has appealed to the Krasnodar branch of the CaT, and stated that he had been beaten up at the Tbilisskaya ROVD (District Interior Division), the CaT's press service reported on October 13.

According to Alexei, on October 4, three law enforcers took him from his home, brought him to the police station and demanded that he confess to a theft by using physical force.

Alexei Dinisenko was released after midnight. At the Tbilisskaya District Hospital, where he was hospitalized, doctors diagnosed him with a closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion and contusion of his back soft tissues. "At the moment, the young man is still at treatment in hospital," the press service has stated.

Anastasia Ralko, a ROVD employee, told the CaT's lawyers that she had started checking the message on Alexei Dinisenko's beating.
