In Baku, law enforcers detain 11 participants of a spontaneous protest

Eleven people were brought to a police station. According to the law enforcement bodies, the detainees were throwing garbage from balconies at the law enforcers who had detained a quarantine violator, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in connection with a record increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus, the Azerbaijani authorities banned residents of Baku and other large cities from leaving their homes from June 6 to the morning on June 8.

This morning, about 50 fighters of the rapid reaction police regiment of the Azerbaijani MIA have carried out a special operation in one of the quarters in the "Yeni Yasamal" residential complex in the northern part of Baku. Eleven people were detained and taken to a police station, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learned from an officer of the press service for the Azerbaijani MIA.

According to the police, in the evening on June 7, the detainees were throwing various objects at the law enforcers, who detained a quarantine violator. "Yesterday (on June 7), when the police were detaining a person who violated the quarantine regime in one of the yards in the Yasamal District of Baku, various objects were thrown at the policemen from balconies and windows. Moreover, offenders also addressed insults to the law enforcers," the spokesman for the Azerbaijani MIA reported.
