Cheldiev's relatives demand from policemen to tell truth about incident at fuelling station

Relatives of Vadim Cheldiev, a North-Ossetian opera singer, suspected of beating a policeman, have recorded a video appeal addressed to the law enforcers, who became eyewitnesses of the incident at the fuelling station. Members of the Cheldiev family clan asked law enforcers to meet them and tell who really hit the policeman.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Vadim Cheldiev, the initiator of the April 20 unsanctioned rally in Vlalikavkaz, was detained well before the start of the rally. He was arrested for two months within the case of using violence against a state official after a brawl at the fuelling station in the village of Alkhanchurt, during which one of law enforcers received two blows in the face. Cheldiev asserts that the brawl was staged.

Cheldiev's relatives have called on the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), who has convoyed Vadim Cheldiev to Vladikavkaz, to come to the Khetag Grove and tell about what happened at the fuelling station, says the explanation to the video appeal of Cheldiev's relatives.

"On behalf of the elder members of the family clan we hereby appeal to members of respected family clans (MIA employees, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") [...] If you are Ossetians, come [...] to the holy place (Khetag Grove, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), we'll be waiting for you. If you tell the truth, if you confirm there that our brother raised his hand against a policeman, we'll apologize to you on behalf of our clan elders," the edition named "Osnova" (Basis) translated Cheldievs' words on May 12.

Social network users have supported the appeal of Cheldiev's relatives. "Cheldievs, don't leave this case unpunished, justice must be proved!" the user Frosia Ivanova wrote in Soslan Zaseev's channel.
