Ramzan Kadyrov demands to isolate quarantine violators in prison cells

The leader of Chechnya condemned participants of a mass memorial event held in a village of the Shali District. Ramzan Kadyrov demanded from his subordinates to tighten the punishment for violation of the quarantine regime. Residents of the Chechen Republic expressed their concern over the above fact.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that despite the authorities' ban, a lot of people came to the funeral of 80-year-old Akhmed Garaev. Earlier, four members of the deceased man's family have been diagnosed with the coronavirus infection.

On the air of the "Grozny" TV Channel, Ramzan Kadyrov criticized the people who attended the Akhmed Garaev's funeral. The leader of Chechnya also mentioned a man and a woman with the suspected coronavirus infection who arrived in Grozny.

The demand of the leader of the republic to tighten the quarantine regime worried some local residents. "People were expecting the quarantine regime to be softened in the nearest future, but now it turns out it will be even worse. But why should we be responsible for the actions of others?" Aishat complained.

A similar opinion was expressed by Malika, a woman from Grozny. "From the end of March, we may not go anywhere, except for a shop or a pharmacy ... The authorities require people to observe the quarantine regime, but they don't do it themselves, we see that in TV reports," the woman said.

In turn, Sakhib, a resident of Grozny, believes it is necessary to tighten the control over compliance with the quarantine regime.
