Social network users criticize Dagestani after his apology for inviting Kadyrov to duel

Instagram users have condemned the act of Gadjimurad Isabekov, a resident of Makhachkala, who had first invited Ramzan Kadyrov to a duel and then apologized to him.

Invitation to a personal duel, used by Kadyrov himself, are against traditions, since the Vainakhs and residents of Dagestan did not practice duels, Sergey Arutyunov, a historian, and Alexei Malashenko, an Orientalist, have noted.

Isabekov has stated in his new video posted on the Instagram page kavkaz_days that his apologies to Kadyrov were not forced.

Community subscribers have condemned Isabekov's appeal and expressed the view that the Makhachkala resident should have not initially challenged Kadyrov.

"Prior to making such calls, an adult should think 10 times, but not blurt out, in order to apologize later," said the user solomon___kein.

In his appeal, Isabekov did not limit himself to apologizing for inviting Kadyrov to a duel.

"Akhmat-Hadji Kadyrov and you are our pride; the names for which we'll give our lives," the man said.

These words also aroused criticism. "It's so humiliating to hear your speech," the user daudov_rustam1977 has shamed Isabekov.

Earlier, social network users suggested that Isabekov's apologies were forced, since he could have faced threats from Kadyrov's close associates.
