Social network users condemn Kadyrov's official for threats to Tumso Abdurakhmanov

Khamzat Edelgiriev, the head of the Chechen Hunting Authority, a fellow villager of Ramzan Kadyrov, has posted a video message with threats addressed to critics of Kadyrov Senior. Residents of Chechnya understand that threats are mainly addressed to the blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that top-ranking Chechen officials held a discussion with blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. On March 9, Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen parliament, announced blood feud against the blogger for his statement about Akhmat Kadyrov.

The video message appeared on April 23 on the YouTube channel "Waynag TV". Edelgiriev reads out a poem, apparently, by his own creation, dedicated to Akhmat Kadyrov. In it, Kadyrov Senior is named, in particular, by the term "Ustaz" (elder, teacher); Chechnya has a custom to name saints in this way, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

After the poem, the official makes an announcement. "We hereby declare, listen, and don't say later that you haven't heard it. Akhmat-Haji is a personification of our nation, honour and dignity. And those, who try to hurt the honour of our great Ustaz with their verbiage, they are sure enemies of our people. And the enemies of the Chechen nation had always to pay what they deserved. I wish everyone a clear mind," says Edelgiriev, raising a clenched fist.

As of 3:35 a.m. Moscow time on April 26, the video has scored 2705 pageviews, 66 negative reactions, and only five "Likes". All the 40 comments placed under the video are of a critical nature; no one spoke in support of Edelgiriev.

"The verse is, of course, ridiculous and awkward, but, apparently, it came from the heart. The main point in the video clip is not the poem, but the threats against those who dare to speak badly about Kadyrov Senior. First of all, I think, this threat is addressed to Tumso," Umar, a local resident, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
