Wounded Ingush policeman transported to Chechnya

Adam Khamkhoev, a Police Junior Lieutenant, who was wounded during the shelling of the car of Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the head of the Ingush "E" Centre (Centre for Combating Extremism), has been taken to the Chechen city of Khankala, where it was decided to transport him to Moscow for further treatment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12, Ibragim Eldjarkiev's car was shelled in Ingushetia. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), there were four policemen and a 27-year-old resident of Nazran in the car. The Republic's Clinical Hospital has clarified that three policemen were wounded, one of them died in the hospital. According to sources, there is also the fourth wounded person – Murad Kodzoev, a son of the former head of the Nasyr Kort administration.

The republic's MIA has confirmed today that apart from the policemen, a 27-year-old resident of Nazran, who was with them in the car, was also wounded. There is no threat to his life, the MIA has added.

Surgeons made a prior treatment of Khamkhoev's wounds – of his right shoulder and the back, says the website of the Ingush MIA.

On January 15, Adam Khamkhoev was taken from the Ingush Republic's Hospital to Chechnya, to the 57th Separate Medical and Sanitary Battalion in Khankala.

In order to provide him with highly qualified medical care, it was decided to transfer him to the Russian MIA's Chief Clinical Hospital, which is located in Moscow. The patient will be taken there on January 19.
