Residents of Shali learn about plans to expel families of militants

The authorities of Chechnya prepare a gathering in Shali to arrange public condemnation and expel from the republic family members of the teenagers who attacked law enforcers, local residents reported. According to them, the detained relatives of the killed teenagers have not yet been released.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that right after the series of the teenagers' attacks on law enforcers committed on August 20, the law enforcement bodies detained adult men from the families of the teenagers involved in the attack on the policemen and also questioned people who were acquainted with the killed young guys. Later, mass detentions and questionings of the teenagers were organized in the Shali District of Chechnya, where the killed attackers lived.

On August 20, attacks were committed on law enforcers in the Shali District of Chechnya and in Grozny. According to law enforcers, four out of five militants were killed, and the fifth one was wounded in an attempt of self-explosion and later died in hospital. On August 21, the resources supporting the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, posted a video with the oath of the teens-participants in the attacks on law enforcers.

The issue to expel the families of the teenagers involved in the attacks on the policemen will be raised at a gathering of Shali residents to be organized by the authorities in the coming days. It is planned to bring the relatives of the killed attackers, earlier detained by the law enforcement bodies, to the gathering for public repentance, local residents told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

On August 29, with reference to its own sources in Chechnya, the "Nastoyaschee Vremya" reported a planned gathering to be held at the House of Culture in Shali for condemnation of the teenagers and their relatives. According to the edition, the "urgent" demand to leave Chechnya was put forward to the relatives of the killed teenagers yet on August 24.
