"My participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF) was that I was cooking, washing clothes, maintaining comfort and cleanliness, and sewing clothes from time to time. I performed all the above functions both for the husband and for other IAF members," she said.

During the debate, the state prosecutor asked for 9.5 years of imprisonment for Abakarova in a general security colony with a further freedom restriction for one year, stating the she has pled guilty.

Abakarova's advocate asked the court for a softer punishment, stating that she has breastfed babies and had signed a confession.
