New terror attack against policemen

A new terror attack against policemen was committed in Makhachkala at about 3:00 Moscow time on 17 July. A bomb went off on Akushinskogo Avenue, not far from house 29, when a patrol police UAZ car was passing by, reported a Caucasian Knot correspondent.

The capacity of the bomb is estimated at 3-4 kilograms of trotyl equivalent. Specialists consider the bomb was buried deep in the ground and therefore caused little damage.

"The state of the sergeant and ensign who suffered in the blast is satisfactory. They have small cuts and contusion," Interfax says referring to the Dagestani Interior Ministry. The third law enforcer who was in the car refused to go to hospital.
