Protesters occupy mayor's office

In the morning of 11 July, residents of Karabulak, Ingushetia, dissatisfied with the land policy of the city administration, arranged a kind of a meeting right in the waiting room of their mayor. Before the working day began, about 20 people had broken into the building of the city administration and occupied the mayor's waiting room. Protesters accused local authorities of bribery and abuse in the issue of land distribution and demanded that the problem be solved fairly. People refused to leave the building until representatives of Ingush authorities arrived, reported the Caucasian Knot correspondent.

At about noon, chairman of the Ingush government Ibragim Malsagov arrived. He managed to persuade the people to break up. As it has become known, later, after Masalgov's report, President of Ingushetia Murat Zyazikov made a decision to remove the mayor of Karabulak.
