Two civilians abducted

On 10 July, gunmen in camouflage uniform captured a 30-year-old local woman in the village of Elistanzhi, Vedeno district and took her away in an unknown direction, reported the Chechen Interior Ministry. The second abduction took place in the village of Samashki, Achkhoy-Martan district, where unknown people abducted a young man.

Chechen human rights and non-governmental organizations claim no less than 15 women and young girls disappeared in Chechnya only in May and June, a 14-year-old girl being among them. The further destiny of most of the abducted women has not been established yet.
