Train blown up in Dagestan

A goods train was exploded on the night of 7 July on the outskirts of Dagestan's capital, Makhachkala.

An unidentified explosive device was triggered at 0.10 am. This is already the second such crime over the past two weeks. A technical train triggered a bomb in the Khasavyurt district on 15 June and two people were wounded. Such bombs are triggered by trains, which gave reasons to surmise it was not the off-schedule technical train that was the terrorists' target, but the following passenger train from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Yekaterinburg, Russia. This time the goods train was followed by the same passenger train, so, perhaps, it was targeted again, but the bomb had been planted too early, as the train that was blown up was on the schedule.
